The Epic Battle

I always have enjoyed drawing the characters from the cartoon Dragon Ball Z so this piece was very familiar to me. These characters are so well detailed originally it makes them all challenging to  construct. I placed all of the components where I wanted them and eventually got the piece looking nearly exact to how I wanted it. Then I outlined it and tried to color it in very neatly. I am pleased with the final results and I find this piece very pleasing to look at. I could have done a much better job with the coloring but altogether I would say this piece turned out good.

Krillin the Hero

This piece was definitely new to me because I had rarely used paint on any of my art before. I had originally planned to just draw the picture out and color it in as I typically would. I decided against this though and thought that painting it would make it look much better. I also thought it would not hurt to try using the new paint media since I had little experience with it. I think I composed all of the objects well on the piece and painted it somewhat neatly for it being one of my first paintings. I am very proud of my final result of this project because it shows the hard work and effort that I put in to make it look extremely nice.

Peter Fights the Chicken

I enjoy looking at this finished piece because it is somewhat humorous. My favorite style of art is making cartoons so I really wanted to do well on this piece. The picture I used was much smaller so it was challenging to place everything in the correct places. I do like the finished product however and I believe it is one of the best cartoon drawings I have completed. This is special because I have created several cartoon drawings.

The Beatles

I created this piece after looking at my Abbey Road poster in my room. I then decided I would like to draw that picture realistically on my own. Once I finished this piece I realized it still had more of a cartoon look in some parts. Overall I still believe I did an okay job making this look somewhat realistic. I am glad I took the risk with this piece because I am happy with the end results.

Pointillism Panda

This piece is very unique because it was my very first pointillism piece. It was definitely me taking a risk but I do like the outcome greatly. I feel like I did an excellent job on making the different amount of dots where parts on the picture were darker. I want to attempt more pointillism pieces in the future because it is a style of art which I think I could certainly enjoy.

Tom Petty

This project definitely took quite a bit of time but I would say I crafted it together nicely. It was quite a challenge to put the pieced together, especially the banner surrounding the letters on both sided of the heart. Originally I would have liked to have cut the letters out of construction paper but I was well aware that there would not be near enough room to do that neatly. Even being written in colored pencil still looks decently neat. I like how I put the guitar going through the heart and I think it gives the project an awesome look. The placement of the different objects and components of this piece definitely makes it complete. I think I did an excellent job of putting it together. I just wish I could have fit all of the letters inside the banners with construction paper.

David Bowie

Here is another one of my favorite construction paper pieces I created. This one is somewhat different only because I also used colored pencils. Some of the details on his face and in the background were too difficult to use construction paper so I thought coloring was a proper alternative. I thought I did especially well on the lettering of his last name and I constructed the facial features very accurately. Another thing I like about my piece is the checkerboard design in the background. It really fills in the empty space that would be there and makes the face look more mysterious which is what it should be. I feel like altogether I composed this construction paper piece with solid effort and it shows.

Construction Paper Ozzy

This is one of the various projects I made in my free time. I am a huge fan of music, preferably classic rock so I create band logos of some of my favorites. I cut out the spaces for the eyes, mouth, and nose and cut out the face and glued it onto a black piece of construction paper. This definitely took some time but I took my time so it would look more neat and well put together. Out of all of my construction paper logo art I would have to say this one is probably my favorite. I really enjoy making these small pieces of art whenever I have spare time to just let my creativity show.

Clay Smurf

This is probably my favorite clay piece I have ever made. I was inspired to make this because one of my best friends is a huge fan of the smurfs. I had drawn him pictures of smurfs and decided I wanted to make a more advanced piece. It only took me a couple days to put together the basic structure of the smurf but hollowing it out took numerous class periods. I could have definitely done a better job glazing the piece but overall I am pleased with how it turned out and I am beyond happy that I decided to make this clay smurf.
